William Joseph "Billy" Bennett, Sr. 58, of Clintonville, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a long illness.
Born August 13, 1953 at Hinton, he was a son of the late Alva Bennett and Margaret Mae Adkins Bennett.
William had lived most of his life in Summers County. He enjoyed working with computers and spending time with his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by two sisters, Beatrice Bennett and Lovetta Mae Graham and two brothers, James R. and Everett Lee Bennett.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Martin Bennett of Clintonville; three sons, William J. Bennett Jr. of Clintonville, Billy Joe Bennett of Peterstown and Bobby Joe Bennett of Hinton; one sister, Drema Karen Martin of Jumping Branch; two brothers, Meredith "Big Boy" Bennett and Tommy "Michael" Bennett of Hinton and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and burial will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Bennett Family Cemetery at Tug Creek. Friends may gather at the cemetery from 10:30AM until time of services.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
