William Clyde Hicks, 61, of Sandstone passed away Saturday January 3, 2015 at his home following a sudden illness.
Born November 18, 1953 at Sandstone he was a son of the late Ira Robert and Vella Mae Gwinn Hicks.
William was a retired auto mechanic with Don Heath Auto Haus in Greensboro, NC and a former supervisor at the Cone Mills White Oak Plant in Greensboro, NC. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by one sister, Ann Cales and husband Nilon of McLeansville, NC; one brother, David Hicks and wife Dottie of Greensboro, NC and several nieces.
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 10, 2015 at Sandstone Baptist Church with Pastor Cecil Cox officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the church from 1:30 P.M. until time of services on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the Sandstone Baptist Church, P.O. Box 76, Sandstone, WV 25985.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
