William Maddy

William Robert Maddy Sr. 80 of Alderson passed away January 22, 2020 at the White Sulphur Springs Center following a long illness.  Born July 11, 1939 at Ashland, KY he was the son of the late William and Adis Payne Maddy.

Bob was a graduate of the Old Dominion University where he majored in Criminology, Virginia State Police Academy and he attended the Northwest University Traffic Institute.  He was employed at the Hampton Virginia Police Dept., Oak Hill Police Dept. and Pan American Airlines as a security Investigator at Cape Canaveral, FL.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death on son, Donald Wayne Maddy and one sister, Jean Sharon Oney.

Survived by two sons, Gary Allen Maddy and William Robert Maddy Jr.; two brothers, Charles Wilson Maddy and Scott Maddy.

Gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel.
