William Pack

William Ashley ?Bill? Pack, 89, of Jumping Branch went home to be with the Lord and his loved ones Monday, March 11, 2013 at his residence following a long illness.
Born June 10, 1923 in Raleigh County he was a son of the late Samuel Lee and Sarah Vest Pack and the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Bill was a member of the Bluestone Baptist Church. He was self employed, having worked in the timber, mining and trucking industry.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betsy Ann Gwinn Pack; three brothers, Hershel, Charlie and Paul Pack; two sisters, Gracie (Sibyl) Pack Moye, Clara Hatcher and a brother in law, Grady Hatcher, who along with Clara helped to raise Bill?s only son, Michael.
Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Michael Lee Pack and wife Susan of MacArthur; five nephews and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bill Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the William Vest Cemetery at Streeter. Friends may call from 6-8 PM at the funeral parlors on Wednesday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Southern West Virginia and Bill?s caregivers; Lonnie and Vera Cales, Susan Meadows, Linda Wood and Vicky Gill.
