William Turner

William E. (Billy) Turner, 57, of Forest Hill passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC on May 14, 2014.
Born March 23, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of Earl Turner and Dorothy Jane Turner of Forest Hill.
Billy was a member of the Roles Chapel Baptist Church where he served as a trustee. He was a conductor for CSX where he had been employed for 36 years and he and his wife owned and operated Turner Lane Farms.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joe and Norene Turner; maternal grandparents, Nathan and Hazel Walthall and an infant brother.
Besides his parents, survivors include his wife of 34 years, Linda Grimmett Turner; an uncle, Sam Turner and wife Remona of Forest Hill; an aunt, Martha A. Morgan and husband Victor of Hinton; a sister-in-law, Donna Bowles and husband Edwin J. Bowles of Nimitz; a nephew, Bryan Bragg of Morgantown and a niece, Amber Sgueo of Maryland.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday May 17, 2014 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor in Hinton with Pastors Ronnie Cobb and Jeff Canterbury officiating. Burial will follow at the Roles Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until time of service on Saturday at the funeral parlors.
Pallbearers will be Sam Turner, Vic Morgan, Scott Morgan, Bob Bennett, Frank Wheby and Roy Rutherford.




Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
