Willie Marion

Willie Bee Marion, 91, formerly of Brooks, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 5:25 A.M. at the Oak Grove Manor at Waynesboro, VA. Born October 1, 1914 in WV, she was the daughter of the late Clarence C. and Rosa Johnson Cooper. She was a member of the Brooks Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Local Railroad Lodge in Hinton. Mrs. Marion was a retired Postmaster at the Brooks,WV Post Office. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Marion, two sisters, Thelma Compton and Blondena Cuniff and a brother, Truman Cooper. Survivors include three daughters, Lu Meadows and her husband Leonard of Waynesboro, VA, Dena Connard and her husband David of Greensboro, NC, Pat Boush of Roanoke, VA, eight grandchildren, Greg Meadows of Waynesboro, VA, Tammi Early of Greensboro, NC, Robyn Mabe, Maria Carr and Randy Boush all of Roanoke, VA, Perry and Keith Connard, both of Trinity, NC, Mark Connard of Loganville, GA and sixteen great-grandchildren. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Fox Cemetery at Brooks with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 P.M. Thursday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
